Our God, in cov'nant mercy, gives
"The precious things of heav'n"
To all His loved and chosen ones,
The heirs of grace and heav'n.
Salvation's sure foundation Stone
Is laid n heav'n for us:
Unto you therefore which believe
Christ Jesus is precious.
The precious blood of Christ was shed,
Redeeming us from sin:
Applied by grace, it's precious blood,
We've felt its pow'r within.
Like precious faith with God's elect,
We have by grace received:
The Spirit's pow'r, revealing Christ,
Called us, and we believed.
The precious promises of God
Are given unto us:
In Christ the promises are sure,
Sure as God's truthfulness.
Even the trial of our faith
Is a most precious thing:
It shall be found a cause for praise
To honor Christ our King.
