Teach me to imitate,
Savior, Your grace and love;
A kind and gentle person make
Of me – Teach me to love.
Enable me to be,
As is my God above,
Forbearing, and to patiently
Excuse offense in love.
With all that I possess,
My Father, by Your love,
Teach me to be free, generous,
And use my goods in love.
As I am forgiven
By grace and freely loved,
Help me to be forgiving and
Show others they are loved.
Bridle my thoughts and words,
Spirit of God, with love;
Let every thought and word towards
Your saints express true love.
And when I leave this life
