Savior, teach me to love Your saints,
To lift the fallen and the faint,
To comfort those who sorrow here,
And show to each Your tender care.
Lord, keep me mindful of myself,
(So full of sin! So full of self!),
That I might ever gracious be
To other needy souls like me.
Give me a patient, loving heart,
Forgiving those who pain impart.
As You so freely forgive me,
Teach me with mercy to be free.
