Prepare me, holy Lord,
To stand before Your throne;
So that in justice, by Your grace,
I may to glory come.
Make Jesus' righteousness
And His atonement mine,
By grace make me a partaker
Of His nature divine!
O Holy Spirit, come!
Your work of grace perform.
My sins subdue. My soul renew.
In saving power come!
Lord, if You will, You can
Save a sinner like me.
Helpless, I wait before Your throne
For Your salvation free.
None ever perished here,
Or sought the Lord in vain.
So here I'll wait in hope that You
Will show mercy again!
