Faith is the substance of the things
Hoped for through God's free grace,
The substance of the heritage
Of an elected race.
Faith is the evidence of things
As yet unseen by us –
Election, redemption, and life
By grace in Christ Jesus.
Faith is the gift and fruit of grace,
The proof of adoption.
We thank You, God, for faith in Christ,
Bestowed on us, Your sons!
We take You at Your word and know
We have eternal life.
