O LOVE, amazing love, so free,
That formed the wondrous plan,
To show forth all God's attributes
And save rebellious man!
In the cov'nant God's WISDOM shines
And His JUSTICE maintains
The RIGHTEOUSNESS and TRUTH of God,
While MERCY freely reigns.
Yes, MERCY reigns and JUSTICE too;
In Jesus Christ they meet:
He satisfied God's JUSTICE and
He is our MERCY-SEAT!
These are the wonders of our God
And His amazing GRACE,
By which He saves His chosen ones
From Adam's fallen race.
