Spirit of God, come down,
Reveal the things of Christ.
Come, make His works and glories known.
Teach us in Him to trust.
No man can truly say
That Jesus is the Lord,
Unless he's in the living Way,
Begotten of the Lord.
`Tis only then we know
Our interests in the blood,
When we, in faith, to Jesus bow,
Confessing Him as Lord.
Come, sanctify the Word
To every heart this hour.
Reveal the glory of the Lord!
Make known Your holy pow'r
Give life to sinners dead.
Inspire the faith of saints.
Conform our lives to Christ our Head.
Turn us from earthly things.
