OUR SABBATH IS GOD'S SON

A blessed sabbath rest remains To all believers known.
Sweet peace, unrivalled, ever reigns, When sinners trust God's Son.
Believing sinners enter in, This blessed sabbath rest,
Ceasing from carnal works and sin, In Christ forever blessed!
Yet, day by day, we must strive still To take the yoke of grace,
Bow to Christ's providential will, And walk with Him in peace.
O weary sinner, would you have This blessed rest of grace?
Then all your deadly doings leave, And trust Christ's righteousness.
Confess your sin, your works forsake, Trust Jesus Christ alone.
The cup of free salvation take, Our Sabbath is God's Son!
