No matter how believers feel or what we do, the love of Christ is always the same. His love was not caused by our goodness, for we had none, and it will not be diminished by our sins, though we have many. His love existed before time began, and when time shall be no more, that love will still endure. Christ's love for His people is more certain than the light of the sun, more lasting than the earth and heavens, and more to be prized than all the wealth in this world. Think of it, child of God, "Christ loved the church, and gave Himself for it" (Ephesians 5:25). Such was His love for us that He willingly laid down His life to satisfy justice, put away our sins and reconcile us to God. No wonder the Holy Spirit inspired Paul to write, "And to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge" (Ephesians 3:19).
