CHRIST JESUS CAME INTO THE WORLD TO SAVE SINNERS
I Timothy 1:15

Aaron Dixon

'This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief'–I Timothy 1:15

Here are the words of the self-proclaimed 'chief of sinners' – Here he tells you and I three of the most fundamental teachings of scripture – A man can gain knowledge and truth of things of the world but in the end......they are meaningless – In the end, what profit is there if a man shall gain the whole world (and the knowledge therein but lose his own soul?) – But if these truths are burnt into one's heart.....a soul knows something worth knowing – Something very valuable – Here the Apostle Paul gives us the cold hard truth about ourselves but also a reason to be filled with joy speakable, a reason to be happy, and a reason to keep our eyes fixed upon Christ –

The first of the three is that there IS a SAVIOR – Let that be repeated......there IS a Savior......Jesus is His name and Christ is his title – There REALLY is a Savior – None could stand just and proclaim God to be unjust if He'd not provided a Savior of Men but there IS a Savior.....there is a way unto God and it is through this Savior – And there's just one Savior – Christ did NOT say, 'I'll show you the way or I'll make a way....he said I AM the way!

The second of the three is that there is a SINNER – One thing certain about a Savior.....is that if HE truly is as his name implies......HE SAVES – That's what a Savor does.....they save – Whom does he save? – 'For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost' (Luke 19:10) – The Lord Jesus said himself, '......I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.' (Mark 2:17b) – Christ came into the world for this purpose......to save sinners.....plain and simple

And finally, when there IS A SAVIOR like Christ and he is at work, where there is a heart-felt and true repentant SINNER, there you WILL find SALVATION – This Savior didn't come to make these Sinners savable......he came to SAVE them – 'For by grace are ye saved....' (Ephesians 2:8) – 'And she shall bring forth and Son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins' (Matthew 1:21) – And this salvation is not to good to be true.....it is real

Much I don't know but this I do

That there is a SAVIOR, that this Savior came for SINNERS, and that He came to SAVE them

AMEN
