"UNTO YOU IS BORN A SAVIOUR"
Luke 2:11

It is not by His incarnation that He saved us; it is by THE SHEDDING OF HIS BLOOD! The world of religion may talk much of Christ the teacher, Christ the healer, Christ the wise and moral one, and think that they have told the gospel story when they talk of His love and holy character. But if Christ is not the substitute, the sin-bearer, and the atonement, then He is nothing to the sinner and He lived and died in vain. "He hast redeemed us to God by His blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation" (Rev. 5:9). His one life was enough; His death paid the penalty and removed the curse; and God does not require two lives, two deaths, nor two payments. "He offered one sacrifice for sins forever (Heb. 10:12).

The tendency of the world's religion is to reject the blood of Christ and glory in a gospel which needs no sacrifice, no "Lamb slain." They go the way of Cain, who refused the blood and tried to come to God without it; and in his rejection of the blood of Christ, we meet THE FIRST MURDERER. He who would not defile his altar with the blood of the Lamb eventually polluted the earth with the blood of his brother. Those who love and trust the blood of the Lamb also hold dearly the lives and feelings of others!
